43. Tag - Hurra ich habe eine neue Felge & tolle Strecke

Yeap, Coimbra war die richtige Wahl! Sowohl was die Strecke anging als auch mit der Aussicht auf den Erwerb einer "neuen" Felge.
However, zu nächst die Strecke, die wirklich total Klasse und schön war. Fast ausschliesslich oberhalb eines Flusses, entlang der alten N2 und später der N110 Bundestrasse von Santa Comba Dao über Penacova bis hier nach Coimbra, wo ich nach rund 50 km auf dem Campingplatz gut untergekommen bin.
Die Strecke war super schön, die alte N2 haben die Portugiesen ein wenig zur Fahrradstraße umgemodelt.
Es war definitiv mein "Grünes Band der Sympathie", um mal den alten Werbespruch der Dresdner Bank aufzugreifen.
Wirklich herzerfrischend würde es dann ab Penacova bis fast hier hinein nach Coimbra. Ich könnte nicht anders als ein paar Mal die Drohne zu starten....

Das absolute Highlight des Tages war aber natürlich, als ich beim dritten Radhändler eine gebrauchte Felge mit 36 Loch in genau den gleichen Abmaßen wie meine Alte erstehen könnte. Und weil der Radhändler sowieso keine Zeit hatte, fand er meine Idee, dass ich das ein- bzw. umspeichen übernehme und er macht Morgen die finale Zentrierung, gut. Definitiv mein Held des Tages; Foto muss ich Morgen noch machen!
Insofern habe ich mich dann auf dem Zeltplatz hingestellt (Bei der Abwaschecke könnte ich prima arbeiten) und ganz konzentriert von der einen Felge auf die Andere umgespeicht und dann die Basiszentrierung gemacht. In Ermangelung eines Zentrierständers mit Klebeband und Kabelbindern. Ich glaube ich habe kaum einen Höhenschlag drin und auch Seitenschläge sind unter 1mm. Allerdings ist alles bewußt noch etwas weich, damit der Radhändler Morgen noch Spielraum zur Justage hat.
Ach, ich freu mich! Jetzt sollte Lissabon wirklich gut erreichbar sein; Morgen zur Küste rüber und dann den "alten" Euro-Velo1 an der Küste bis nach Lisboa.

Yeap, Coimbra was the right choice! Both in terms of the route and the prospect of buying a "new" rim.
However, first of all the route, which was really great and beautiful. Almost entirely above a river, along the old N2 and later the N110 federal highway from Santa Comba Dao via Penacova to here in Coimbra, where I found a good place to stay after about 50 km at the campsite.
The route was super beautiful, the Portuguese have converted the old N2 a little into a cycle path.

But the absolute highlight of the day was of course when I was able to buy a used rim with 36 holes in exactly the same dimensions as my old one from the third bike shop. And because the bike shop didn't have time anyway, he liked my idea that I would do the exchange of the two rims and he would do the final centering tomorrow. Definitely my hero of the day; I still have to take a photo tomorrow!
So I stood on the campsite and carefully changed all spokes from one rim to the other and then did the basic centering. In the absence of a centering stand, I used adhesive tape and cable ties. I don't think I have any vertical runout and the lateral runout is less than 1mm. However, everything is still a little soft on purpose so that the bike shop has some room to adjust it tomorrow.
Oh, I'm so happy! Lisbon should now be really easy to get to; tomorrow I'll head over to the coast and then take the "old" Euro-Velo1 to Lisbon.
